Summary
This study tested whether adding manual acupuncture to standard care (medication and counseling) can reduce anxiety and improve quality of life in cancer patients. 38 adults with recent cancer diagnosis and moderate-to-severe anxiety received either real or sham acupuncture daily for 6 days alongside standard therapy. Researchers measured anxiety levels and quality of life before and after treatment to compare the two groups.
