First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This pilot study tested whether acupressure, a non-invasive technique using finger pressure on specific body points, can help reduce anxiety in patients receiving chemotherapy. Thirty adults undergoing chemotherapy at Mayo Clinic who reported at least mild anxiety were offered a short nurse-led acupressure session. The study focused on whether this approach is feasible and acceptable to patients, and measured changes in anxiety levels.
