Acupressure eases anxiety during uncomfortable bladder exam
NCT ID NCT07340645
First seen Jan 17, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tested whether acupressure—a technique that applies pressure to specific points on the body—can reduce anxiety, embarrassment, and fear in people undergoing a urodynamic test (a procedure that checks how well the bladder works). Sixty-eight adults were randomly assigned to receive either acupressure or standard care. The results will show if this simple, drug-free approach helps patients feel more comfortable during an invasive medical test.
