First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study tested a non-invasive treatment called transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation to see if it can ease nausea and vomiting caused by cisplatin chemotherapy. Researchers enrolled 34 cancer patients aged 40-60 who were scheduled for chemotherapy. The goal was to measure how well this electrical stimulation, applied to specific points on the skin, could reduce these common and distressing side effects.
