First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study tested two types of talk therapy—acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and cognitive behavioral stress management (CBSM)—to see if they help caregivers of cancer patients. 66 caregivers were split into three groups: one got ACT, one got CBSM, and one got no therapy. Both therapies involved eight 90-minute sessions over four weeks. The goal was to reduce fear of cancer coming back, improve quality of life, and lower stress and fatigue.
