Summary
This study is testing whether a type of talk therapy called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) can help teenagers who have social anxiety disorder or oppositional defiant disorder. The therapy focuses on helping teens become more flexible in their thinking and actions to reduce symptoms like fear in social situations and disruptive behavior. Researchers will work with 54 teens to see if the therapy improves their symptoms and overall mental health.
