NCT ID NCT07456631
Summary
This study is testing a type of talk therapy called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for teenagers who have social anxiety disorder or oppositional defiant disorder. The goal is to see if this single therapy approach can help reduce symptoms like intense social fear, disruptive behavior, and aggression by teaching teens psychological flexibility. Researchers will work with 54 teens to see if the therapy improves their symptoms and mental health, and if the benefits last over several months.
