First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a type of talk therapy called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) can help cancer patients feel more flexible in dealing with difficult thoughts and emotions. About 120 adults with breast, lung, or colorectal cancer will be split into three groups: one gets face-to-face therapy plus an app, another gets only face-to-face therapy, and a third gets usual care. The goal is to see if the combined approach improves emotional well-being, reduces anxiety and depression, and boosts quality of life.
