First seen Apr 19, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tested if a type of talk therapy called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) can help people with insomnia, without adding the usual sleep tips like keeping a strict bedtime. 93 adults with insomnia were randomly assigned to either 7 weeks of ACT or a waitlist. The goal was to see if ACT alone reduces insomnia severity and improves sleep quality, anxiety, and mood.
