New online therapy eases family stigma after psychosis

Summary

This study tested an online program called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for family members of people who had a first psychotic attack. The goal was to help them feel less self-stigma, handle stress better, and become more resilient. 41 family members took part, and the therapy was delivered online. Results showed improvements in how they coped and felt about themselves.
