First seen Mar 28, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tests a high-tech digital stethoscope that listens for tiny changes in heart sounds to spot coronary artery disease and valve problems early. Researchers will record heart sounds from 500 adults who are already scheduled for standard heart scans. If successful, this simple, non-invasive tool could one day be used in GP clinics to catch heart disease sooner.
