Informed patients choose: surgery or not for torn ACL?
NCT ID NCT05585528
First seen Apr 10, 2026
Summary
This study explored whether giving detailed information to people with a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in the knee changes their decision to have surgery or try non-surgical treatment. About 106 adults with a recent ACL tear were included. The main goal was to see how many chose surgery within 45 days after receiving clear information about both options.
