First seen Apr 10, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study aimed to see how giving detailed information to people with a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in the knee influences whether they choose surgery or non-surgical management. About 106 participants with a recent ACL tear were followed to see how many opted for surgery within 45 days. The goal was to understand if better information helps patients make a more confident decision.
