New study pits Old-School ACL repair against modern reconstruction

NCT ID NCT07318272

Summary

This study aims to compare how well people recover after two different surgeries for a torn ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) in the knee. Researchers will measure muscle strength, knee stability, balance, and how patients feel about their recovery in 45 people who had either a traditional reconstruction surgery or a newer primary repair surgery. The goal is to understand which approach might lead to better long-term function and a safer return to sports.
