Tight band workout showdown: heavy vs light for ACL rehab
NCT ID NCT07384780
First seen Feb 03, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looks at which type of strengthening exercise—heavy or light—works better when combined with a tight band (blood flow restriction) to help people recover after ACL surgery. About 60 adults who had ACL reconstruction will do supervised leg exercises on a machine while wearing a cuff on their thigh. Researchers will measure leg strength, knee function, and pain to see which approach gives better results with less strain on the knee.
