Tight band workout: can lighter exercise rebuild knees after ACL surgery?

NCT ID NCT07384780

First seen Feb 03, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looks at which type of leg exercise with a tight band (blood flow restriction) works best after ACL surgery. Sixty adults who had ACL reconstruction will do either heavy or light knee exercises while wearing a cuff on their thigh. Researchers will measure leg strength, knee function, and pain to see if lighter exercise can give similar benefits with less strain.
