ACL surgery patients tracked for decade to uncover arthritis clues

NCT ID NCT00478894

First seen Jan 28, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study followed 432 people who had ACL reconstruction surgery to see who later developed knee arthritis. Researchers looked at X-rays and other knee measurements 2 and 10 years after surgery. The goal was to find out which patients are most at risk for arthritis, not to test a new treatment.
