Could a tiny needle zap achilles pain away?

NCT ID NCT05301959

First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding a low-intensity electrical needle treatment (called percutaneous electrolysis) to standard exercise therapy can improve pain and function in people with Achilles tendinopathy. About 102 adults with at least two months of tendon pain will receive either the real treatment or a sham version, and be followed for a year. The goal is to see if this combination helps more than exercise alone.
