Could a tiny electric needle ease stubborn achilles pain?

NCT ID NCT05301959

First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests if adding a low-intensity electric needle treatment (percutaneous electrolysis) to standard exercise therapy helps people with long-lasting Achilles tendon pain. About 102 adults with at least two months of symptoms will receive either the real treatment or a sham version, and their pain and function will be tracked for a year. The goal is to see if this combination improves recovery better than exercise alone.
