Can a simple pill ease gas pain after keyhole hysterectomy?

Summary
This study tests whether giving acetazolamide (Diamox) before laparoscopic hysterectomy can reduce pain caused by gas used during surgery. About 100 women aged 21-65 having the procedure for non-cancer reasons will take either the drug or a placebo. Researchers will track pain scores and painkiller use for 24 hours after surgery.
