Heart scan kidney risk: should patients stop their blood pressure pills?

NCT ID NCT07184918

Summary

This study looked at whether patients should temporarily stop a common blood pressure medication (Ramipril) before a heart scan called coronary angiography. The goal was to see if this could help prevent a specific type of kidney injury that sometimes happens after the scan. Researchers compared 44 patients who either continued or stopped their medication around the time of the procedure, checking their kidney function and safety.
