First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study compares two ways of starting a type of dialysis (CVVHDF) in people who have swallowed a large amount of the herbicide diquat. The standard approach waits until kidney damage appears, while the accelerated approach starts dialysis right away. The goal is to see if earlier treatment reduces deaths. About 267 adults with severe poisoning will take part.
