New TMS therapy shows promise for veterans with PTSD

NCT ID NCT06587659

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tested a new way to treat PTSD in veterans and active-duty service members using a brain stimulation technique called image-guided TMS. Seven participants received daily sessions for 2 weeks. The goal was to see if this standalone treatment could reduce PTSD symptoms without needing talk therapy. Early results suggest it may help, but larger studies are needed.
