Summary
This early study tested whether a natural plant hormone called abscisic acid (ABA) can improve how the body handles sugar in people with prediabetes. Five adults took ABA and were monitored for side effects and changes in insulin sensitivity. The goal was to see if ABA might help prevent or delay type 2 diabetes.
