Blood test catches cancer early; drug may stop return
NCT ID NCT07292207
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a blood test that finds tiny bits of cancer DNA (ctDNA) can help catch breast cancer early if it tries to come back. People who had surgery and standard treatment for a common type of breast cancer (HR+/HER2-) will get regular blood tests. If the test shows signs of cancer, they will take a drug called abemaciclib to try to stop it from returning. The study will check if the drug clears the cancer DNA and helps people stay cancer-free longer.
