Gentle massage may help clear newborn jaundice faster
NCT ID NCT07388732
Summary
This study tested whether gentle abdominal massage could help newborns with jaundice who are receiving standard light therapy. Researchers wanted to see if massage could increase bowel movements, which might help the body remove the yellow pigment (bilirubin) causing the jaundice. They compared newborns receiving massage once or twice daily to those receiving only routine care.
