Can a malaria drug help wipe out lingering breast cancer cells?

Summary
This study is for breast cancer patients who have finished initial treatment but still have cancer cells hiding in their bone marrow. Researchers want to see if taking two pills—abemaciclib and hydroxychloroquine—can reduce or eliminate these leftover cells, which may lower the chance of cancer coming back. About 66 participants will take the drugs twice daily for six cycles, and doctors will monitor safety and effectiveness.
