New hope for rare immune Disorder's lung damage

NCT ID NCT04925375

Summary

This study is testing if the drug abatacept can help control a serious lung scarring disease that occurs in people with Common Variable Immunodeficiency (CVID), a rare disorder where the immune system doesn't make enough antibodies. The trial will enroll about 38 adults and children to compare abatacept against a placebo. The main goal is to see if the drug reduces lung damage seen on CT scans after six months of treatment.
