Summary
This study tested whether the drug abaloparatide could reduce bone loss after total knee replacement in people with osteoporosis or low bone density. Fifty-eight adults aged 55 and older received the drug before and after surgery. The main goal was to measure changes in bone density in the thigh bone near the knee over 18 months.
