Summary
This study tested whether a medication called AB-2004 could safely reduce irritability in people with autism spectrum disorder. 156 participants with significant irritability were randomly assigned to receive either the medication or a placebo for 8 weeks. Researchers measured changes in irritability and overall severity to see if the treatment was effective and well-tolerated.
