Blood clot showdown: could a new fibrin boost dental implant success?

NCT ID NCT07319494

First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tests whether a newer version of platelet-rich fibrin (A-PRF) helps bone and gum heal better than the standard version after a tooth is pulled and a dental implant is placed right away. Sixteen healthy adults with a badly decayed back tooth will receive either A-PRF or PRF as a gap filler. Researchers will check bone thickness, implant stability, and healing over six months.
