Breast cancer radiation in just 9 days?
NCT ID NCT03345420
Summary
This study tested whether a shorter, more intense 9-day radiation schedule works as well as the standard 6-8 week schedule for women with early-stage breast cancer who had a lumpectomy. It involved 102 participants and aimed to see if the shorter treatment provided similar cancer control while being more convenient and potentially having fewer side effects. The main focus was on cosmetic outcomes and quality of life two years after treatment.
