New scan could spot myeloma spots better than current tests

NCT ID NCT07353554

First seen Jan 25, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tests a new type of PET/CT scan that uses a special tracer (68Ga-BCMA nanobody) to find multiple myeloma lesions in the body. Researchers will compare it to the standard FDG-PET/CT scan to see if it detects more disease spots. The goal is to improve diagnosis, treatment monitoring, and early relapse detection. About 30 patients with newly diagnosed or relapsed multiple myeloma will take part.
