New imaging agent could spot hidden tumors in lung and breast cancer

NCT ID NCT07589101

First seen May 19, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026

Summary

This study tests a new PET imaging tracer called 68Ga-MY that targets a protein (5T4) found on many cancer cells but rarely on healthy cells. About 20 people with lung or breast cancer will receive the tracer and undergo PET/CT scans. The goal is to see if this new method finds tumors better than the standard FDG-PET scan, which could improve cancer detection and staging.
