NCT ID NCT07303634
First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study looks at whether teaching patients a specific deep breathing method (the 4-7-8 technique) before and after gallbladder removal surgery can lower pain, reduce anxiety, and improve sleep quality. One hundred adults having laparoscopic gallbladder surgery will be randomly assigned to either practice this breathing exercise or receive standard care. Researchers will measure pain, anxiety, sleep, and oxygen levels to see if this simple, drug-free approach helps recovery.
