Custom 3D jaw plates may improve fracture healing
NCT ID NCT07390734
First seen Feb 05, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study tests whether custom-made 3D titanium plates are better than standard two mini plates for fixing a broken jaw (mandibular angle fracture). 18 adults with recent, non-infected fractures will be randomly assigned to one of the two plate types. The main goal is to see if bone density at the fracture line improves more with the custom plate, and pain levels will also be tracked.
