NCT ID NCT07298655

First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests a new 3D ultrasound machine to see if it can better detect tiny new blood vessels inside fatty plaques in the neck arteries. These plaques can cause strokes or heart attacks if they rupture. The study will involve 10 adults who already have carotid plaques and will compare the new 3D method with standard 2D ultrasound.
