3D printed inserts take on plantar fasciitis pain in new study

NCT ID NCT05707013

First seen Feb 05, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study tests whether 3D printed custom foot orthotics work as well as traditional custom-made ones for people with plantar fasciitis. About 30 adults with the condition will wear either type of insert for 8 weeks. Researchers will measure how often they wear them, how comfortable they feel, and if they have any side effects.
