3D printed insoles take on plantar fasciitis pain in new study
NCT ID NCT05707013
First seen Feb 05, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study tests whether 3D printed foot orthotics work as well as traditional custom-made ones for people with plantar fasciitis, a common cause of foot pain. About 30 adults with the condition will wear either type of orthotic for 8 weeks. Researchers will check how often they wear them, how they fit, and if they help reduce pain.
