3D printers vs. milling machines: the battle for your smile

NCT ID NCT07378982

Summary

This study aims to see if a new type of 3D-printed dental filling works as well as the standard computer-milled fillings for restoring badly damaged back teeth that have had a root canal. Researchers will compare the two types of fillings in 32 patients over 18 months, checking for cracks, wear, and overall survival. The goal is to find a potentially more precise and less wasteful way to make strong, long-lasting dental restorations.
