3D printers vs. milling machines: the battle to fix your teeth

NCT ID NCT07378982

Summary

This study aims to see if a new type of 3D-printed dental filling works as well as the standard computer-milled filling for restoring badly damaged back teeth that have had a root canal. Researchers will compare the two types of fillings in 32 patients over 18 months, checking for cracks, chips, and overall durability. The goal is to find a potentially more efficient and cost-effective way to rebuild these teeth.
