Hospitals print their own jaw guides to cut costs and wait times
NCT ID NCT07079111
Summary
This study compares two ways of making custom plastic guides that help surgeons align a patient's upper and lower teeth during jaw surgery. Researchers will see if guides printed in the hospital are as good as expensive, outsourced ones. They will measure cost, production time, and surgeon satisfaction for 70 patients needing corrective jaw surgery.
