3D printers in hospitals could make jaw surgery faster and cheaper
NCT ID NCT07079111
Summary
This study is testing whether custom 3D printed guides made in the hospital are as good as ones ordered from outside companies for jaw surgery. The guides help surgeons correctly align a patient's upper and lower teeth during the operation. Researchers will compare the cost, production time, and surgeon satisfaction between the two types of guides.
