3D printed insoles aim to prevent foot ulcers in diabetes patients

Summary

This study tested whether custom 3D printed insoles can reduce pressure on the bottom of the feet for people with diabetes who are at risk for foot ulcers. Thirty adults participated, wearing the insoles during lab visits while their foot pressure and movement were measured. The goal was to see if these insoles could help prevent foot problems and improve mobility.
