First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tested a special 3D-shaped metal plate to fix broken jaw joints (sub-condylar fractures) in 14 adults. The goal was to see if the plate helps the bone heal correctly and improves jaw movement and pain. Participants had surgery to place the plate, then were followed for 3 months with CT scans and check-ups.
