First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looks at whether giving antibiotics for just 24 hours before urological surgery works as well as the usual 48-hour course to prevent infections. About 894 adults with a positive urine culture will take part. The goal is to see if a shorter treatment can safely reduce infection risk after surgery.
