First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This early study tests whether a natural supplement called 2-HOBA can reduce harmful oxidized fats and inflammation in 10 adults with very high lipoprotein(a) levels, a genetic risk factor for heart disease. Participants take 2-HOBA capsules three times daily for 6 weeks and provide blood and urine samples. The goal is to see if the supplement improves the function of lipoprotein(a) and lowers related health risks.
