First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study tested whether a special PET scan using a tracer called fluciclovine can help doctors tell the difference between a brain tumor that has come back and damage caused by radiation therapy. About 19 people with brain metastases who had suspicious MRI results took part. The goal was to find the best way to use this imaging tool to avoid unnecessary treatments and improve diagnosis.
