First seen Feb 20, 2026 · Last updated Jun 08, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tested whether using custom-made implants and surgical guides (a full digital workflow) leads to more accurate repair of cheekbone fractures compared to the usual surgery. Twenty-eight adults with certain types of zygomatic fractures took part. The main goal was to see how precisely the bone was repositioned, and the researchers also measured surgery time, nerve sensation, and patient satisfaction.
