Sleep aid trial offers hope for restless nights in autistic kids

Summary
This study is testing whether the prescription sleep medication zolpidem can help children and teenagers with autism who have trouble sleeping. Researchers will compare the effects of the real medication to a placebo (inactive pill) over 8 weeks. They will measure changes in sleep patterns using special watches and overnight sleep studies.
